We’re going to be cramming three brave people into our tiny underpowered car. In short, we are:

• Martin – Self dubbed entrepreneur, adventurer, and philanthropist, Martin used to attend student protests, and somehow ended up as a management consultant in a Big Four firm. He’s taking a break from management responsibilities in the corporate grind to re-engage in what he did best in his student days – writing, travelling, and volunteering for noble causes.
• Miki – The most adventure-travelled of the group, Miki is engineering software in some weeks, and travelling around the world in others. Last year saw him hit both Europe, and road-trip through South America. With some of the Andes covered, he should be warmed up for the the Tian Shan ranges in Kyrgyzstan. You can see photos from some of his past travels here.
• Nat – Sassy shoe-shopper, kimchi connesieur, and ex-corporate consulting stalwart, Nat has abandoned the cubicle to do the truly exciting things in life, starting with driving through the middle of nowhere. She’ll be breaking old skincare habits by leaving the sun-shading parasol behind, and resigning herself to the hot, hot sun of a summertime Gobi desert.

None of us have any mechanical skills whatsoever, though Martin has poured water into the radioator-tak-thingie before and Miki fixed his electric windows once. Ok, he watched his friend do it but is positive he could do it himself only quicker.
